FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Solo Developer Releases "Flick Around & Find Out," a Satirical Physics-Flicker for Android
A one-person studio takes on bureaucracy, propaganda, and one very orange final boss, armed with nothing but boogers.
MIDWEST CITY, OK - Roach Digital Media, a solo indie developer and gaming content creator, has released Flick Around & Find Out on Google Play. It's a physics-based flicking game in the tradition of Angry Birds, built around absurdist political satire instead of pigs and slingshots.
Players take on the role of the Nose of Justice, aiming, flicking, and ricocheting sticky boogers at a cast of caricatured bureaucrats, propaganda machines, and hostile agents from two rival factions, S.L.A.S.H. and F.R.O.S.T. The goal: break open cages, defeat enemies, and rescue kidnapped puppies and kittens across 8 chapters and 8 boss fights, ending with a showdown against a very orange final boss riding a golden golf cart.
"I wanted a story that felt like it was an alternate reality, close enough to our own to be understood, but outlandish enough to be fun and comical," said developer Allen Roach.
WHAT'S IN THE GAME
- 8 chapters, each with 3 levels plus a boss battle, from "Block Party Gone Wrong" to "The Last Stand"
- 32 total stages: 24 levels and 8 unique boss encounters
- 5 special booger types (Sticky Bomb, Ricochet, Sniper, Stink Bomb, and Snotwave) for added chaos
- Combo streaks, wall ricochets, and physics-driven splat mechanics
- Boss-specific abilities that raise the difficulty as players progress
- Achievements, stats tracking, and 3-star scoring on every level
- Google Play Games leaderboards and cloud save, both optional
- Chunky, retro pixel-art inspired art style
PRICING AND DATA
Flick Around & Find Out is free to play and ad-supported. A one-time $3.99 purchase, "Premium Booger Lab + No Ads," removes ads permanently and unlocks every current and future Booger Lab cosmetic. Individual cosmetic packs are also available separately at $0.99 each. Every cosmetic in the game can be earned through normal play, so a purchase buys time and quiet, not content.
The game has no accounts and no sign-ups. Progress is stored on the device, and can optionally sync through Android's standard backup or Google Play Games cloud save, both of which live in the player's own Google account. The game runs no gameplay analytics of any kind. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses the Android Advertising ID, and crashes are reported through Firebase Crashlytics.
